Islamic Cultural Awareness training The Muslim community in Northern Ireland is a multi National community from all areas across the Globe, ranging from Asia, Africa, and Middle East to Europe; all Muslims are united by their common Islamic faith. NIMFA has developed this short workshop to describe how Islam is both a religion and a peaceful way of life; to allow people from an increasingly diverse society to understand the meaning of Islam and Muslims and to dispel some of the common myths and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims. The training content includes a brief outline on:  Describing what Islam is  The pillars of Islam  Women in Islam  Jihad  Shariah This session is suitable for a wide audience e.g Professionals wishing to increase and improve cultural competency in their professional and/or organisation, individuals seeking to gain knowledge of their friends and neighbours in an increasingly diverse community, individuals engaging on a spiritual or religious search etc.

Tuesday 21 September at 10.00am. Tuesday 21 September 2021, 10.00am – 11.30am. On-line talk by Nedžad Avdić who is one of a just a small number of boys and men who survived the genocide in Srebrenica. The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session, facilitated by Peter Osborne, Chair of Remembering Srebrenica in Northern Ireland.

Level 2 Risk Assessment

Are you looking to embark on a career as a post-16 teacher or trainer? The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an essential introduction and license for those who work or wish to work as teachers or trainers in further or adult education and work-based learning. It is an ideal qualification for those who have no previous teaching experience or qualifications, as well as those who are already working in the education sector and would like to gain an officially recognised qualification.
