You must attend all days to obtain the award***** Did you know that an estimated 555,000 workers in Britain sustained an injury at work in 2017/18? The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training. What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks. With our Blended Learning Approach leaners will undertake the theory elements of this qualification on our online learning centre before attending a 1-day face to face session to complete the practical elements of the training. All assessments associated with the qualification must take place face to face in the classroom environment. This includes all QA practical and multiple-choice question theory assessments.

Head off to the Jungle where you can run RAMPAGE across one of Ireland’s coolest obstacle adventure races. 30th and 31st May 2020 will see us host our fourth “Rampage Weekender” event. Gut busting and unique obstacles, lashings of mud, a fantastic and picturesque location, followed by an awesome after party and camping.

By the end of the course participants will be able to understand the concept of Self-Myofascial Release and the role of fascia within the body and reasons why it becomes tight and understanding the concept of trigger points. Participants will have an understanding of why SMR should be employed as well as when is most beneficial to use SMR. They will also gain an understanding of what happens during SMR within the tissue fibres. Participants will be able to identify suitable equipment to use and know how to perform SMR on various muscles within the body. And finally the participants will know some of the contraindications that would prevent a person from undertaking SMR.
