In fact, having a good understanding of the contribution of volunteering to your organisation is essential if we want to secure funding, influence effectively and so much more. In this session we’ll explore the development of methods for measuring the contribution volunteers make to an organisation and society, how those methods work, their pros and cons, why you should measure volunteering and how to use the data you produce.

Breast Cancer Now

Moving Forward gives you the tools to help you adjust to life beyond primary breast cancer treatment. We know it's not always ‘back to normal’ when you finish hospital treatment for primary breast cancer. Coping with the shock of a diagnosis, treatment and side effects, and worries about recurrence can make it difficult to readjust to the everyday. That’s why Moving Forward is here. Through supportive, open conversations in a safe, confidential space, you’ll connect with people who understand. And you’ll find the tools you need to feel more empowered, confident and in control. Ready to move forward with your life.

Resistance training has long been a method used to increase athletic capacity in terms of endurance, muscle mass and strength (McGuigan, M., R., 2012). Additionally, there are techniques that are appropriate in developing power in advanced clients and have been shown to be superior to more traditional resistance training techniques (Suchomel, 2017). Selection of these weightlifting techniques for use as an advanced training modality in power production have shown to be effective in clients and should be implemented (Tricoli, V., et al 2005).
