Millisle Youth Forum commenced in 2009 as an unincorporated association, renting out facilities within the village one night a week, to put on activities for the local young people. We progressed from that, rapidly finding that our young folk were telling us that they needed bigger and better facilities, especially "a place to call our own...", and we were successful in obtaining grant funding to enable us to lease, and renovate, an old petrol filling station at the northern end of the Main Street. We have created a peer advocacy service to help parents express their views on behalf of their child, who often has difficulty communicating, because of his/her additional needs. These views reflect the lived experience of parent carers and give voice to children and adults with additional needs, who are at significant risk of being ignored”.

Hi I'm Robert. I work as an integrative counsellor and have been in practice for four years. I work with the whole person in a person-centered way, using elements of psychodynamic or cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) depending on the client's presenting issue or need. All my work is treated in the strictest confidence and aligned to the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) ethical framework. I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Professional Development in Counselling.

Short Strand Community Forum is an organisation with 23 member groups, it's purpose is to improve the quality of live for the residents living in Short Strand and also to avoid duplication of services provided.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) is a large, national, voluntary organisation with extensive experience of working with a diverse range of people who experience poverty and exclusion. Through its network of over 10,000 volunteers and 800 staff, it is strongly committed to working for social justice and advocates the creation of a more just and caring society. There are 8 Regions across the Island of Ireland and in Northern Ireland; this Region has 182 local conferences (groups) and 1,800 volunteers (members).

SPACE Family Support Services are for families and individuals who need help. Family life is not always easy, life events like birth, death, depression, redundancy, separation, illness, abuse or financial problems all put stress and strain on family life

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is a charitable organisation of bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents dedicated to the support and care of other similarly bereaved family members who have suffered the death of a child or children of any age and from any cause. Many people who have suffered the loss of a child feel a bond with others in the same situation and wish to extend the hand of friendship.

The Dry Arch Children’s Centres is social economy business which provides a wide range of support to children, young people and their families. Our team of multi-disciplinary professionals provide seamless integrated services and information across three centres, one in Dungiven and two in Limavady.

The Genesis Programme is a consortium of over fifty Partner Organisations that is delivering the Incredible Years® suite of programmes and other evidence-informed interventions to children, families and communities in Dundalk and Drogheda in County Louth

The Speedwell Trust was formed 30 years ago as a leading charity working with children to deliver Shared-Education activities in Northern Ireland. We use nature, as a means to engage and inspire children by bringing them together in the neutral and natural environment of our forest and secret garden in Parkanaur Forest.
