Eastside Learning was established in 2014 to promote partnership working between schools and the community in east Belfast and identify strategic opportunities for making the experience of education better for everyone involved. 

We are a campaigning charity which developed from a community project set up in 1998, encouraging employers to implement family friendly policies in the workplace.

Our Strengthening Families Programme (SFP) is at the forefront of family support and delivers high quality Family Skills and Advocacy Service Programmes across the North West Region

Aim of FGC (NI)
To promote an inclusive understanding of and support for Family Group Conference and Restorative Practice.

First Aid and defibrillator training for churches, youth organisations and community groups throughout Northern Ireland. Provision of first aid cover for church events. Accredited courses include Annual refresher for First Aiders (half-day), Emergency First Aid at Work(1 day), First Aid at Work Re-qualification (2 day), First Aid at Work (3 Day) Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 Day), Paediatric First Aid (2-day). For churches, I have a bespoke Basic First Aid course (4 hours max). Professional training by an experienced trainer. Covid guidelines maintained.

GLEN PARENT YOUTH GROUP WAS FOUNDED IN 1985 TO ADDRESS INCREASING PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH ANTI COMMUNITY BEHAVIOUR IN THE LENADOON AREA. FROM INITIALLY WORKING AS VOLUNTEERS THE GROUP NOW DELIVER SERVICES / ACTIVITIES OVER 60 HRS A WEEK.

We support vulnerable families with children under 5 yrs old who, for many reasons, may need support from volunteers who are parents themselves. Volunteers visit families at home offering one to one support; listening, playing, helping, getting out etc.

Home-Start Causeway supports families with young children who are facing stressful situations, for example isolation, post natal depression, illness. Volunteers offer support, friendship and practical help to families in their own home.
