Parenting NI are delighted to launch and offer our newly developed accredited qualification - OCN Level 4 certificate in Working with Parents. This qualification is aimed at key workers who support families with multiple needs, including those working in family intervention projects, community settings, early year’s settings and/or social care settings. The qualification is aimed to support work with children from 0-18 years.
This course offers participants the opportunity to learn about counselling/helping within a community/helping within a community setting.
This is a daytime course beginning on October 19th 2021. It will run for 20 weeks x 5 hours and will be offered on a Tuesday from 10am to 3pm.

Resistance training has long been a method used to increase athletic capacity in terms of endurance, muscle mass and strength (McGuigan, M., R., 2012). Additionally, there are techniques that are appropriate in developing power in advanced clients and have been shown to be superior to more traditional resistance training techniques (Suchomel, 2017). Selection of these weightlifting techniques for use as an advanced training modality in power production have shown to be effective in clients and should be implemented (Tricoli, V., et al 2005).
