This interactive one-day workshop is an opportunity for all carers, helping professionals, and managers to assess and address the impact their work has on their emotional well being. We will explore ways to reduce the risk of being personally impacted by the traumatic experiences of those we support. The training also provides a broad overview of how we can become more trauma informed at service and organisational level. Through discussion and reflection, we can discover how and why caregivers and helpers are affected by another person’s suffering. This online Anaphylaxis Awareness course is designed to help learners understand more about what anaphylaxis is, what the symptoms of allergies and anaphylaxis are, and what can be done to help a person with anaphylaxis manage the condition.

This workshop is being delivered as part of the Ards and North Down Social Entrepreneurship Programme (ANDSEP). Any aspiring/ existing social enterprise is very welcome to attend.

A legal and practical analysis of statutory duties to accommodate and provide leaving and aftercare supports for homeless young people; guidance on applying the Regional Good Practice Guidance (revised 2014) to meeting accommodation and support needs of 16 and 17 year olds (including young people who interface with the youth justice system) in advocacy practice; and an update on recent relevant case law and implications for practice.
