Responsible for leading the policy, advocacy and research work within WSN to support women's centres/groups living in disadvantaged urban and rural communities. Responsible for building effective working relationships within the wider women's sector.

 

Women’s Support Network (WSN) is the only unique Women’s network in the Belfast that was set up by Women’s Centres to provide capacity building support enabling them to deliver front-line services that operate effectively and efficiently. WSN provides information, resources, training and direct support, actively lobbying on key issues of childcare, education, funding, and representation.  WSN collates the views of the centres/groups and their users informing policy development and articulates concerns to funders, government departments, statutory organisations and elected representatives on the local key issues that impact on front-line service delivery and community development in identified disadvantaged and rural areas.
