Strand Arts Centre was established as a registered charity in 2013 and has attracted 50,000 annually to a diverse programme of new releases, classic and cultural cinema, Silver Screenings for older people, Minors Club, live theatre, music and festivals.

Our aim and objectives are to improve the quality of life of inhabitants in the Strathfoyle community and to secure training and employment for the long term unemployed in the community.

The Stroke Association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. Stroke strikes every five minutes in the UK and it changes lives in an instant. Stroke can strike anyone – young, old and everyone in between. Recovery is tough, but with the right specialist support and a ton of courage and determination, the brain can adapt. There are almost 39,000 people rebuilding their lives after stroke in Northern Ireland. We provide specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives.

Provide free, expert, personal income tax advice to those aged 60+ on lower incomes. Assist and support those people in dealing with H M Revenue & Customs. Help for the vulnerable and unrepresented to give certainity and peace and provide free advice.

The Churches Trust was founded by the Leaders of the mainstream churches over 20 years ago in response to a recognition of the level of deprivation in the area and the necessity to work together to provide essential services to those in need.

The Falls residents Association works with local residents to deal with issues that affect residents daily lives. Working with statutory agencies to ensure that the best possible service delivery is given to the community.

The Harvest Project is currently running for adults with Down’s Syndrome over the age of 40 and those with parents/carers over the age of 60. The project runs through all Six counties off Northern Ireland.

The work of Life Story Network considerably enhances the quality of care, and support, delivered through embedding a human rights based approach. Our main project is tide - together in dementia everyday.

UTOPIA project funded by the Big Lottery, offers Creative Learning and Social Activities to help reduce social isolation, improve the mental and physical health and build the confidence and community involvement of older people in the Andersonstown area.
