Brain Injury Matters is a charity dedicated to supporting people affected by Acquired Brain Injury to rebuild their lives and reach their full potential in the community. All our services aim to promote independence, foster personal development and support people to adapt to life after illness or accident. Our services are delivered by a combination of professional clinicians and staff with specialist knowledge of ABI rehabilitation.
The Wellbeing Programme
The Wellbeing Programmes offer centre-based, day activities for adults (aged 16+) who have experience of acquired brain injury. We provide a wide variety of activities which are adapted to ensure all our service users have the opportunity to participate in group sessions. Our activities include arts and crafts, interactive games, exercise classes, drama, health promotion and multimedia projects. The Wellbeing Programme aims to: increase weekly routine and structure; encourage social interactions; provide enjoyable and purposeful activity; promote independence and improve mood and general wellbeing.
Sports 4 U
Sports 4 U is a physiotherapy and exercise led programme for individuals aged 16+ who experience mild to moderate, post acquired brain injury symptoms. The aim is to provide a time limited physical exercise programme for individuals who wish to improve their fitness level, increase their weekly routine and make new social contacts.
