To serve those living with ABI, which is commonly defined as an invisible disability, we deliver a range of bespoke therapeutic services at home and in community settings led by a diverse team of clinicians and specialist staff. Our staff team comprises of clinicians with expertise in acquired brain injury including physiotherapy, neurological rehabilitation, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, social work, neuro psychology, counselling, play and creative therapies.
We offer a range of programmes as follows:
Children and Youth Services;
The Family First programme which supports the needs of families for children 0-12 and offers home and community based or online therapeutic services.
The Youth Matters Programme which offers one-to-one services and activities to young people (13 – 18 years). The Programme helps young people to achieve self-identified goals including, age appropriate independence, social and educational engagement, and psychological adjustment post-ABI and improve overall well-being.
The Peer mentoring programme which educates and supports young adults with ABI to become mentors to a group of 13-18 year olds with ABI. The peer mentoring scheme will be delivered in the Southern Trust Area in partnership with Southern Trust Community Brain Injury
Adults Services
The Wellbeing service offers long term rehabilitation through an arts and creative activity programme three days per week to 45 participants to support their psychological, physical and emotional wellbeing.
The Sports Programme includes the pedal power adapted cycling programme and tailored physical activity .To complement this service we also provide a range of physical activities including yoga, Pilates, walking football and Boccia.
The Counselling Service both in house and telephone/online counselling service.
We deliver our services in collaboration with and to complement other providers within the sector including the community brain injury teams and voluntary sector partners including Cedar Foundation, Headway and the Child Brain injury Trust.
