21360 - PW2 Family Support Worker - Strabane

📍 Location: Strabane SureStart
📅 Contract: Permanent
🕘 Hours: 20 hours per week (each post)
💷 Salary: £27,573 - £36,389.29 (FTE). Please note appointment is usually at the first point of the scale.

We currently have the following exciting opportunity available:

Family Support Worker – Disability Focus

Support children with additional needs and their families by:
✨ Providing tailored support to promote inclusion and development
✨ Working closely with parents, early years staff, and health professionals
✨ Helping families navigate services and access the right support at the right time

Essential Criteria: 

✔ NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or a related field, or a qualification above this, e.g. Degree in Early Childhood Studies or a related field.  
✔ Relevant demonstrable experience working directly with families and young children in a supportive role
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively
✔ Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and early intervention approaches
✔ Access to a car or ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role (reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with a disability)

Desirable Criteria:

➕ Previous experience delivering parenting programmes
➕ Experience or qualifications in Community Development or Special Educational Needs (SEN)
