Our organisation started in 1946 to pioneer a better world – one where we can all farm, eat and live healthily in balance with the environment.

Our team at True Harvest Seeds' mission is to save the indigenous wild flowers, shrubs and trees of the island of Ireland. We identified a problem on our island caused by importation of foreign plants of native species. As a geographical unit, we have a unique flora, adapted and fine tuned to our climate by c.14,000 years of isolation. Genetically our flora is being eroded by unregulated imports protected by free trade laws and the subsequent inter-pollination between natives and imports.

The National Trust North Coast portfolio covers areas from Downhill Demesne, Portstewart Strand to White Park Bay and Cushendun. We’re a charity founded in 1895 by three people who saw the importance of our nation’s heritage and open spaces and wanted to preserve them for everyone to enjoy. More than 120 years later, these values are still at the heart of everything we do. We look after special places throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland for ever, for everyone.

The Centre for Public History at Queen’s provides a lively hub for people engaged in researching, teaching, and practicing public history. It seeks to nurture excellent research, provide a forum for debate, and develop collaboration between academics, practitioners, and the public around issues relating to the practice of history in the public sphere.

INCORE drives forward interdisciplinary research and teaching uncovering and explaining the causes and consequence of conflict.
