Vision
SSYCC’s vision is of a welcoming and vibrant centre that offers an inclusive and shared space where children, young people and the community can grow, develop and actively participate in community life.
Mission
SSYCC’s mission is to inspire and empower children, young people and the community by creating opportunities through which they can develop confidence, self-esteem and social skills, meet others from different backgrounds and use their talents to benefit others.

Strategic Aims
Aim 1. Create a safe inclusive and shared environment for children, young people and community members where they can develop confidence skills and positive relationships through a range of activities and opportunities.
Objectives:
- Provide a wide and varied programme of positive activities, events and projects for children, young people and community members throughout the year
- Promote and enable opportunities for young people to build relationships and work with others from different backgrounds and traditions
- Offer positive alternative youth engagement opportunities to reduce community tensions
- Provide a programme of activities and events through the school holidays
Aim 2. Facilitate leadership and development opportunities for young people and community volunteers.
Objectives:
- Engage young people and volunteers in the operation and management of the Centre
- Provide training and development opportunities to enable young people and community volunteers to enhance their confidence, skills and understanding
Aim 3. Raise awareness and lobby for the needs of children, young people and the community in the area and beyond.
Objectives:
1. Engage in ongoing identification of the needs and issues affecting children, young people and the community in the area
2. Advocate on behalf of and with young people and the local community to raise awareness of needs and issues
3. Work collaboratively with others on behalf of children, young people and the local community
Aim 4. Secure the long-term sustainability of the Centre through effective leadership and appropriate systems and processes.
Objectives:
1. Ensure the organisation is governed in a responsible and accountable manner
2. Implement appropriate measures and actions to ensure the Management Committee has the necessary skills and competence to lead the organisation
3. Work to collectively agreed plans which are monitored and evaluated to ensure effective delivery of services, growth and development
4. Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures in accordance with good governance practice
