Dungannon Youth for Christ

Dungannon Youth for Christ is affiliated to Youth for Christ Northern Ireland, a National Christian Youth Organisation. It is governed by a board of directors made up of local Christians, with the daily management being overseen by the Centre Coordinator. It exists to impact the young people of Dungannon and the surrounding area with the love of Jesus, working with the local Church and other like minded partners to see young people transformed by God’s love, become followers of Jesus and reach their full potential, physically, emotionally, educationally and spiritually. 

Dungannon YFC has been present in Dungannon since 2003, delivering schools work, detached work in local estates and regular youth work activities in the local YFC drop-in centre. Following a period without a youth worker, a group of concerned Christians met together in 2015, formed a new board and re-launched the work of Dungannon YFC. Dungannon YFC, currently operates a weekly Wednesday evening drop-in, in their centrally based centre, run by a team of 12 local volunteers.

Dungannon itself is a thriving provincial town with a high density of food processing industries and engineering firms. These businesses attract a large multi-ethnic population, who form a significant proportion of the 16,000 population. There are around 4000 young people aged 11 - 18 years, attending the 6 local secondary schools. 

It is an occupational requirement of this post that you profess and practice the Christian faith; that you are fully committed to YFCNI’s Values, Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct; and that you are a participating member, in good standing with a local church.
