Arts
The Crescent is an arts centre and cultural hub in the heart of South Belfast where diversity and creativity flourish. We provide opportunities for people to meet, be inspired, experience and participate in a wide range of art forms and our offering is simple! Each week we have a whole host of live events, offer a diverse learning programme and provide spaces for exhibitions.

At The Crescent, we firmly believe that art is open to everyone.

This ethos is firmly embedded in the work we do within the communities of Belfast through our outstanding programme of arts participation and community engagement, which is delivered by our Outreach and Education department. The work we do in the community was recently been chosen by Belfast City Council as an example of best practice for a European delegation from Euro Cities Framework.

Our Community Outreach and Education Programme has developed and grown, embracing new arts and cultural developments and creating new partnerships enabling our large bank of professional tutors to work with all ages and ranges of ability in all areas of the city.

The department aims to differentiate itself from other arts organisations by providing activities that are free at the point of delivery and focuses on those who encounter barriers to accessing arts provision regardless of age, gender ability, ethnicity, socio economic background, geographic background and physical and mental disabilities. We want everyone to have access to the arts and to ensure they engage and experience the positive impact art can have on their lives.
