These eleven community infrastructure networks from across the region have worked together over the past 20 years to deliver community development support for local communities and to advocate for action to sustain this support.
The networks support both communities in cities, towns and rural areas. They have a membership of local groups from across their area, which ensures that each network is owned and directed by its local community sector.
Our five priorities for the new decade go to the heart of community engagement and cohesion:-
· Addressing the impact of poverty.
· Enhancing health and well being,
· Capacity building and training for community groups
· Peace building and community relations.
· Increasing employability
