Community Development Networks Forum (CDNF) was established in 2000 as a strategic networking infrastructure to support communities across Northern Ireland in a wide range of issues from urban regeneration and renewal to  social isolation and health and community well being; from tackling poverty to building community cohesion.

CDNF is made up of  11 x Community Development Networks delivering projects and programmes for the relief of poverty, build community capacity and enable employability, improve peoples with health and well-being and improve community relations for everyone living and resident in Northern Ireland without distinction.

Community Development Networks

1.    Ards Community Network

2.    Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon (ABC) Community Network

3.    Building Communities Resource Centre (BCRC)

4.    East Belfast Community Development Agency

5.    Carrickfergus Community Forum

6.    Causeway Rural and Urban Network.

7.    Confederation of Community Groups Newry and Mourne

8.    FOCUS - Forum in Omagh for Community Understanding and Support

9.    Larne Community Development Project

10.  North Down Community Network

11.  North West Community Network.

These eleven community infrastructure networks from across the region have worked together over the past 20 years to deliver community development support for local communities and to advocate for action to sustain this support.

The networks support both communities in cities, towns and rural areas.  They have a membership of local groups from across their area, which ensures that each network is owned and directed by its local community sector.

Our five priorities for the new decade go to the heart of community engagement and cohesion:-

·         Addressing the impact of poverty.

·         Enhancing health and well being,

·         Capacity building and training for community groups

·         Peace building and community relations.

·         Increasing employability
