CO3 Chief Officers 3rd Sector is a membership organisation for Third Sector leaders in Northern Ireland. We provide, support, training and networking for CEOs, Senior Managers and Trustees, You can view our upcoming events here: http://co3.bz/co3-events

Established in 1985, Chief Officers 3rd Sector (CO3) is a leading membership-based organisation that focuses on supporting, developing and connecting Third Sector leaders in Northern Ireland.

We have a growing membership base of over 700 Third Sector leaders. Our members range from leaders of some of the largest charities and social enterprises through to small community and faith-based groups.

We use the term Third Sector to describe the breadth of our members’ work. Members work across all policy areas and connect to all government departments. Our members offer considerable expertise, services and innovation. Our members lead organisations that contribute resources and investment in public services, employ tens of thousands of people and have a considerable asset base to help strengthen the economy.

We are supported by a small staff team who work closely with members, as well as partner organisations in the private & statutory sector and government departments. CO3's capacity to deliver services has been enhanced in recent years. Membership numbers have increased substantially, from 60 in 1998 to over 800 in August 2018.

CO3 receives funding from a range of sources, membership fees, training, a small proportion of government funding, and income from a number of Trusts and Foundations.

Full membership is open to chief officers (the most senior staff member) of Third Sector organisations in Northern Ireland. Other categories of membership are open to Third Sector senior managers (associate members) and partner organisations in other sectors via our corporate membership. Full members are entitled to vote at the AGM and elect Executive Committee members. CO3 Executive Committee meets five times annually, and has established a Finance, Audit and Risk Sub Committee and an Honorary Officers Committee.

Please note this course is for leaders in the third sector only. Contact us if you are unsure if this is you. Coaching Leaders are focused on bringing out the best in their teams and embedding a coaching mindset throughout their organisation. However, adopting a coaching approach and growing and developing others can be a challenge in the current climate. This programme supports leaders to build their coaching approach so they can help to develop talent and create an empowering environment while still practising self-care. The programme will include the development of peer coaching groups to offer support and practice their coaching techniques on one another as part of the programme. Delivery method: This programme will be delivered online. Each day of the programme will be a combination of live, facilitated sessions with some self-directed learning and reflection activities. This programme is an opportunity to pause and reflect on your leadership. It will help you to strengthen your coaching approach, gaining greater personal insight, different perspectives and increased self-awareness so you can lead and develop others even more effectively. It is also an opportunity to identify how you can build your resilience and practice self-care as busy leaders. Delivered with an interactive approach, you will work with and learn from peers to explore a range of practical concepts and approaches. This programme relies on the group supporting each other to learn and develop and build a community of established leaders.
