Virtual Support For Unemployed People During The Covid-19 Crisis - First Aid for Mental Health
The Conservation Volunteers

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) offer a programme of free training and employability support to unemployed people or those working less than 16 hours/week. The ‘Training for Employment’ programme provides the skills and qualifications needed to move into employment or further training. It is suitable for starting new careers and for securing employment in these challenging times. During the covid-19 crisis we have changed our way of working to provide virtual support and training, which can be accessed from home.
TCV can provide support around many aspects of securing employment by phone, video conference and e-mail and can offer:
- Help finding suitable job opportunities
- Support with filling in job application forms
- Help with creating a curriculum vitae (CV)
- Interview support – help with preparation for an interview, for example, help with common interview questions
- Advice on sources of help with barriers to employment, for example, housing problems or benefits
We can also provide virtual training courses in many key subjects. Because the courses are virtual, participants can train from home using a computer or smart phone. Our upcoming training is as follows:
- First Aid for Mental Health – Wednesday 7th October – 10.30am-1pm
