Specialist Relief Support Worker

About the Role

 As a Specialist Relief Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of this mission, providing essential support and making a real impact. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

✅ Providing Person Centred Support  

✅ Supporting people to be safe and healthy    

✅ Supporting independence, social and communication skills  
✅ Coaching and mentoring of staff and volunteers   

What We’re Looking For 

We want to hear from people who share our passion! To be successful in this role, you’ll need: 

Essential Criteria 
 To apply for this role, you MUST have:  

One of the following:  

1. 3 years’ experience in a health or social care setting.  

or  

2. QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent*) AND have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health and social care setting * It is the applicant’s responsibility to demonstrate how their qualification is equivalent.  

or  

3. QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent*) AND have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a health and social care setting * It is the applicant’s responsibility to demonstrate how their qualification is equivalent.  

or  

4. Psychology Degree AND have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a health and social care setting.   

or  

5. Psychology master's degree AND have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a health and social care setting.  

AND

• At least 1 years' experience of working with people with a learning disability OR autism.  

• At least 1 years' experience in managing behaviours of concern through the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support.  

• Full, valid driving licence or an ability to travel independently to meet the requirements of the post.  

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or other relevant professional body.
