One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for someone to join the Thorndale Family Centre as a relief Playgroup Worker, working as and when required.
The Salvation Army Homelessness Services are committed to providing opportunities that support each person to find their purpose, develop positive relationships and experience a sense of community. We are currently looking for a Playgroup Worker to work as part of a team in our 24- place playgroup.
Key Responsibilities
As a playgroup Worker at Thorndale your key responsibilities will include supervising and supporting pre-school children as they develop their early years skills. You will assist the playgroup leader in the development of an age appropriate and stimulating programme of activities. In addition you will work with the team to demonstrate development of service delivery in line with organisation and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate experience of working with pre-school children, as well as an NVQ Level 3 in Child care or equivalent.
Appointment subject to satisfactory references and right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check.
