The Department for Communities invites applications for the appointment of 10 Members to NILGOSC. The positions consist of four employee organisation representatives (eg Trade Unions), five Scheme employer representatives and one independent member.

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your skills and experience in public service, and to influence the direction and future of the Local Government Pension Scheme? If so, applications are invited for the appointment of up to 10 Members to NILGOSC, whose vision is to provide an excellent and sustainable pension scheme. The positions consist of four employee organisation representatives (eg Trade Unions), five Scheme employer representatives and one independent member.

Applications from women, people with a disability, young people and people from minority ethnic groups would be particularly welcomed. A Guaranteed Interview Scheme for candidates with a disability is in operation.      

Appointments are for a term of 4 years, with 4 members to be appointed initially from 1 December 2019.  Those appointed are eligible for a daily allowance of £123 (which is under review), plus travel and subsistence. This position will require a commitment of typically 2 days per month. Further details on NILGOSC, the roles, appointment dates and the criteria are included in the application pack.
