Employment Officer (Workable NI)- Orchardville

Orchardville is a registered charity under the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. We have been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and / or Autism in employment in Belfast for over 35 years. Founded in 1982 by a group of parents and carers who sought a more challenging alternative to Day Centres, Orchardville has continued to grow geographically and the services offered have developed and expanded substantially over the years.

Salary: £16, 394.56 per annum, rising to £16,729.44 per annum after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period

Hours: 28 hours per week (over 4 days Monday - Friday)

The post-holder will:

The post holder will deliver the Orchardville Workable (NI) programme on behalf of the Supported Employment Solutions (SES) Consortium across the Greater Belfast area and beyond.

To apply, you must be:
• Educated to Level 3 or equivalent i.e. A level, AS level, NVQ level 3
• 6 months paid experience of working with people form disadvantaged groups
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues facing adults with learning disabilities and / or autism, particularly with regard to employment
• Experience of client needs-based assessment, action planning and delivery of objectives.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Excel etc.
• Current full driving license, valid in the UK, and access to a car or other form of transport which will permit you to carry out the duties of the post in full. N.B: Alternative transport methods will be considered for those who have a disability and cannot obtain a driving license.

This role is funded by Workable (NI) until May 2021 with possibility of extension.
