
Impact Training, situated in Belfast it is one of the longest established training providers in the city, we deliver a range of training and into employment support programmes for young people and adults.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Painting & Decorating Technician with strong presentation skills, to support the delivery of Painting & Decorating Training and Workshop activities and empowering our young people and adults in working towards achievement of target qualifications
Painting & Decorating Technician
Salary £28,500 per annum (pro rata)
Terms: Full time- (Mon-Thurs from 8:30am to 4:45pm and Fri 8:30am to 1:00pm)
The Painting & Decorating Technician, based at our training centre on Lanark Way Belfast, will be responsible for:
- Supporting tutor to devise & implement vocational training programmes within the training section to required levels.
- To support in the preparation and maintenance of training area to ensure adherence to training guidelines.
- To support the tutor as directed to deliver & assess training programmes, using a range of approved methods, according to national standards and within required timescales.
- To support and prepare trainees to develop skills, identify skills and understand their individual support needs, and inform the Personal Training Plan.
The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria
- At least 5 years’ experience working within the Painting & Decorating Industry.
- Evidence of holding an NVQ Level 3 in Painting & Decorating or evidence of currently working towards completion.
- A current assessors award or evidence of working towards completion.
Desirable Criteria
- Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to support the needs of young people, particularly those that present with a range of neuro-diverse needs.
- A minimum of GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent, in Math’s and English.
- A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
