About the Role

Abbeyfield Belfast is recruiting a Manager to lead our modern supported living facility for older people – Harberton Hall, located in South Belfast.

As House Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, providing exceptional leadership to the team, ensuring high-quality service and support for residents, and maintaining a welcoming and community-focused environment. This role blends operational management with people-centred support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and hands-on engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support a dedicated team of staff.
  • Handle resident enquiries, admissions, support planning, and wellbeing.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and financial procedures.
  • Deliver high occupancy levels through marketing and engagement.
  • Develop strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Plan and coordinate events and social activities that enrich resident life.

 

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing teams.
  • Experience in sheltered/supported housing or care services.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Desirable:

  • 5+ years’ experience working directly with older people.
  • Understanding of issues affecting older populations.
