HR Business Partner

Orchardville is a registered charity under the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. We have been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and / or Autism in employment in Belfast for over 35 years. Founded in 1982 by a group of parents and carers who sought a more challenging alternative to Day Centres, Orchardville has continued to grow geographically and the services offered have developed and expanded substantially over the years.

Salary: Starting at £28,411.50 and rising to £28,977.00 on completion of a successful 6-month probationary period.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday)

Location: Orchardville, 144-152 Ravenhill Road, Belfast, BT6 8ED

The post-holder will:

  • Manage a professional and effective HR service across the organisation.
  • Provide high-level HR advice, guidance, policies, procedures and systems to ensure the services of the organisation are delivered in line with organisation needs, legislative compliance and good practice.
  • Act as an Access NI Signatory for all employees and volunteers throughout the organisation.

To apply, you must:

  • Hold a minimum of Level 5 CIPD or equivalent qualification plus 3 years’ experience in a generalist role*OR If no CIPD or equivalent qualification is held, 5 years’ experience in a generalist role*
  • Strong IT skills to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Current full driving licence, valid in the UK, and access to a car or other form of transport that will permit you to carry out the duties of the post in full. NB: Alternative transport methods will be considered for those who have a disability and cannot obtain a driving licence.

*Experience must include dealing with a wide range of HR functions including policy development, recruitment and selection, employee relations, employee engagement, absence management and performance management.
