Hairdressing Tutor

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Hairdressing Tutor with strong presentation skills, to deliver Hairdressing Training and Salon based activities and empowering our young people and adults in working towards achievement of target qualifications

Hairdressing Tutor

Salary £29,890.35 per annum (pro rata)

Terms: Full time- (Mon-Thurs from 8:30am to 4:45pm and Fri 8:30am to 1:00pm)

(Part-time hours might be considered for the right candidate)

The Hairdressing Tutor, based at our training centre on Lanark Way Belfast, will be responsible for:

• Devising & implementing vocational training programmes within the training section to required levels.
• Preparation and maintenance of training area to ensure adherence to training guidelines.
• To deliver & assess training programmes, using a range of approved methods, according to national standards and within required timescales.
• To prepare trainees to develop skills, identify skills and understand their individual support needs, and inform the Personal Training Plan.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing.
• A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in the Hairdressing Industry.

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience of training and assessing Hairdressing in a Further Education and/or Training Organisation.
• A recognised qualification in Teaching.
• Experience of teaching Hairdressing qualifications up to Level 3.
• Experience of teaching Barbering qualifications up to Level 3.
• Assessor’s Award.
• Current driving license and access to own vehicle.
