Job Opportunity – Centre Youth Worker (Female)

Contract: Part Time (15 hours per week)

Amazing opportunity to be part of the team at the BlueHouses and deliver face to face youth work in this undeniably special, unique and strategically based youth centre in the heart of Ballysillan, North Belfast. The successful applicant will be involved in designing and implementing programmes and projects in line with the organisations Christian ethos and organisational aims. The role will have a focus on developing the organisation’s programmes and ministry with young females, building relationships with them, supporting them on their journey and helping them grow into all they have been created to be!

It involves two drop in evenings per week, after schools girls group work projects and 1-2-1 mentoring (see job description).

The successful applicant will have relevant experience in youth work, adopting an energetic, creative and dynamic approach to their practice (see job specification).

The nature of the role and the context in which it is carried out dictates that it is a genuine occupational requirement that the person appointed must be a Christian, subscribing to the Statement of Faith and Ethos Statement of YFCNI.

As the role has responsibility for working primarily with young females, it is an occupational requirement that the post-holder is female. 

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an AccessNI Enhanced Check, including a check of the DBS Barred Lists.
