Essential Criteria
QCF Level 5 Childcare Learning & Development (or on the Pathway) or equivalent
Two years’ experience of working in an Early Years Setting in a paid capacity
Experience of the Preschool Expansion Programme
Competence in IT

Desirable criteria
BA Hons Early Childhood Studies
One year’s management experience within an early years setting
Excellent communication skills
Excellent time management skills

• The post holder will work as a member of a team to ensure the day to day running of each playgroup session is delivered to a high standard, promoting safe and stimulating play meeting each child’s assessed individual needs. 
• This will involve planning, preparing and delivering play based activities appropriate for children aged 2yrs 10 months - 4 years old.
• To participate in short, medium and long term planning for each group, meeting the individual needs of the group
• To carry out individual (child-centred) assessments, develop individual educational plans and ensure regular monitoring and review in keeping with the assessed individual needs.
• To support the Leader with the management role, identifying individual staff training needs, and assist in the identification of service development needs.
• To promote Dromore Community Playgroup in the wider community participating in the development of it’s services.
