Donegall Pass Community Enterprises (DPCE) is laying the groundwork for an exciting new Good Relations Hub, designed to support the wider South Urban Village. To help shape and celebrate our rich local identity, we are seeking a passionate Culture and Heritage Officer to lead meaningful initiatives that connect people with their shared history.

The Role:-

The Culture and Heritage Officer at DPCE will play a key role in preserving and promoting local heritage through engaging community projects, exhibitions, and educational initiatives. This position involves collaborating with residents, artists, and historical groups to document and celebrate local stories, manage cultural events, and develop strategies that enhance community connections. With responsibilities spanning project management, volunteer coordination, communications, and archival research, the role offers a unique opportunity to amplify community voices, preserve heritage and foster stronger relationships through cultural engagement.

The Person:-

The ideal candidate will have a background in education, community development, or youth work, with experience in project management and stakeholder coordination. Strong facilitation skills, the ability to engage diverse communities, and a commitment to inclusive community led practices are essential. They should be highly organised, creative, and proactive. Proficiency in impact marketing, including social media, and an understanding of local culture and heritage would be highly beneficial.

The Position:-

The post is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027, funded by The Community Relations Council Core Fund.  Appointment will be on a full time basis, ( 35 hours per week ).
