Rugby for Autism and Inclusivity

Rugby Cubz NI Community Interest Company
Help offered

Rugby is an ideal game for children on the autistic spectrum because of the sensory reward and sense of empowerment it provides to participants. It teaches children on the autistic spectrum to understand how they can individually play a role within a team setting.

They learn how to develop a number of life skills including how to socialise and respect others. It provides them with self-esteem, empowerment and a sense of belonging and most importantly, fun!

Sessions are delivered promoting the IRFU initiative “The Spirit of Rugby” which includes practical educational programmes that embody and promote the core values of the game – Respect, Inclusivity, Integrity, Fun and Excellence.
