Rathgill Community Association

Rathgill Community Association was established in 2004 with the objective of making a positive difference within their community supporting local residents and offering a community development approach to the areas future and connection with its residents. The association also wanted to establish a Learning & Resource Centre for use by its residents to support people through mental illness, reduction of poverty, prevention of loneliness and the wellbeing of everyone.

Rathgill Community Association has been awarded SPOD funding from April 2009 to present to facilitate the development of a number of projects and programmes aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in the Rathgill and surrounding area. The association has through this funding focussed on building the community capacity of the area through their Learning and Resource Centre following the following key themes; Community Renewal, Economic Renewal, Social Renewal & Physical Renewal.
