NIPR, the National Collection of Northern Ireland Publications seeks to identify, collect and preserve every book, periodical and report published in Northern Ireland, for the benefit of the future generations.

NIPR, the National Collection of Northern Ireland Publications is a voluntary scheme whereby every publication is collected, catalogued and preserved. It operates closely with publishers, writers, community groups and the publishing industry to identify books, pamphlets, periodicals and reports in print and electronic format. Donated publications are catalogued and the records are made available via the website www.nibooks.org. The collection is housed for long term preservation and is available for reference only, as a library of 'last resort'.  Material can be consulted by asking for reference access at the Irish and Local Studies counter in the Linen Hall Library.

NIPR is also working to establish and maintain high standards in the local printing and publishing industry.
