Helping Hands Autism Support Group is a parent led initiative that supports families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Formed in 2008 by volunteers we provide support for families across Belfast and North Down.

Promote the health, welfare, care and education of children and young people that have Autistic Spectrum Disorder and their families and carers in the Belfast and North Down area by providing:

 (a) recreational and leisure time activities and organising events for such children and young people, their siblings, other family  members and carers;

 (b) access to creative therapies and learning opportunities;

 (c) access to resources, practical advice and general family support;

 (d) opportunities to network,  find mutual support and encouragement;

(e) training for parents, volunteers and carers.

- To promote understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder within the wider community and to represent the views of those affected by autism.
