We are a voice for the residents in the Glenravel area and to advocate on their behalf, lobbying statutory agencies on the issues of the environment, health and well being and infrastructure. We are also the resilience group for the area. Our main aims are to help Glenravel help themselves and to that end we have established a range of services including, the first oil club in Northern Ireland, Youth Club, Luncheon Club Single Awards Programmes and a Gardening Group who will have full use our new allotments. We deliver a range of seasonal events and cross community projects. We have the food bank needed for rural families who may be out of work and one parent also disabled and those who can't get to get groceries, the working poor who don’t get any extra help. We have a room in our community hub that will be for the youth and we work closely with the PSNI and other statuary bodies to run programs that involve health and well being such as drug and Alcohol abuse and bullying, also suicide awareness. The group will also have an information centre as we are the Gateway to the Glens. GDCRA will be open for the public at least 3 days a week with a Read yourself Well area and a selection of Books supplied by Mid and East Antrim Council where you can come relax have a tea or coffee.
