The Community Relations Forum was established in 2003 to respond to the needs of the residents of the Newtownabbey borough. Our overall aim is to “promote good community relations by encouraging honest and open dialogue, enabling people to have a better understanding of and respect for each other’s views and opinions.”
The Community Relations Forum works at a grassroots level to ensure that all residents of the Borough can live together in a safe, pleasant, vibrant and shared community where everyone feels welcome and equal.
We deliver an annual calendar of events, programmes, activities and servics which includes good relations focused community education / development / training, awareness raising, performing arts, mediation, dialogue with various interest groups, cultural events and study visits, acess to information and cross border engagment
