Business in the Community

On Thursday 14 and Thursday 28 April, more than 120 business volunteers took a break from their offices to support almost 500 Silver Surfers – people over the age of 50 – with FREE digital skills.

Fifteen young people from businesses in Northern Ireland have completed a six month voluntary pilot project – Young People on Board – giving their time and using their skills to sit on the board of a community or voluntary organisation.

Business in the Community has launched its 2016 Responsible Business Summit, which will take place at the newly extended Waterfront Hall on Wednesday 5 October.

This the high-profile annual awareness week, coordinated by the charity Business in the Community, seeks to increase awareness of the powerful difference that business makes to the economic, social and environmental challenges we face.

On Thursday 14 and Thursday 28 April, hundreds of business volunteers will be poised and ready to provide FREE digital skills support, helping people over the age of 50 to get to grips with the Internet, email, Skype and social media.
