The Bloody Sunday Trust (BST) was established in 1997 with the twin aims of supporting the Bloody Sunday families and others through the course of the Inquiry, and of preserving the history of the period that led to the events of Bloody Sunday. BST is a registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee, which is managed on a not for private profit basis by a group of voluntary directors. The Trust manages two key projects: The Museum of Free Derry and the Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding Project, known as the Derry Model.

Hosted by the Bloody Sunday Trust, we will be joined by Dr Bethany Rebisz, a lecturer on the history of modern Africa at the University of Bristol, and a collaborator with the Museum of British Colonialism. The evening will be a discussion on the development of British colonial tactics in Malaya, Kenya, Ireland and Afghanistan, and how Britain is grappling with its legacy of Empire today.
