Community Planning
Community planning is a statutory process designed to help local partners, including public bodies and community and voluntary partners, work better together to improve people's lives.
The Belfast Community Planning Partnership, which includes statutory, business, education, and community and voluntary sector partners, and has overall responsibility for the community planning process and the Belfast Agenda - the city's community plan. The Belfast Agenda is the shared plan for how we will work together to make Belfast the best place to live and work or visit. It includes various commitments aimed at improving the social, economic and environmental well-being of the city.
Belfast City Council is responsible for leading and facilitating the community planning process for the city of Belfast. Our team supports the community planning process and the BCP Partnership, including helping to develop and implement the Belfast Agenda.
Council Strategy, Policy and Performance
Our team leads on the development of corporate strategy and performance for Belfast City Council. This includes developing the corporate plan and improvement objectives and leading on key policy areas such as inclusive growth and consultation and engagement.
