Bangor Salvation Army Corps

The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and registered charity, which has been fighting against social inequality and transforming lives for over 150 years.

The Salvation Army expresses its faith through charitable action by working at the heart of communities across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. We have 750 community churches and social centres where we offer friendship, practical help and support to some of the most disadvantaged people in our communities.

Motivated by our Christian faith we offer practical support and services to all who need them, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Our work includes:

Your support allows us to respond to the people who need us most. Across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, we:

  • Provide over 3,000 places every night in 82 lifehouses
  • Helped 1,208 people through our Employment Plus service
  • Supported 2,267 victims referred to our modern slavery services
  • Brought together 5,690 people at our lunch clubs

The United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland is part of the wider international Salvation Army, which changes lives in 131 countries around the world.
