Relatives for Justice seeks tenders from suitably qualified persons to deliver clinical assessments in-person or remote clinical assessments for persons seeking therapeutic support within the Stepped Care Model and Regional Trauma Network

About the Role:

Clinical Assessors provide a critical part of the Relatives for Justice health and wellbeing package. Appointed sessional assessors will be an integral part of the RFJ Clinical Team and will provide the delivery of high-quality clinical assessments to our valued clients prior to their therapy program.

You will be dealing with people who have suffered conflict related bereavement and/or injuries and with varying backgrounds who have a range of mental health conditions to determine the most suitable evidence-based treatment pathway within the Stepped Care Model and as part of the Regional Trauma Network.

Treating people with dignity and respect alongside ensuring that a person’s needs remain central to the process is a key aspect of the role. Enabling people to see the benefits of an intervention and helping them to engage with this through the instillation of hope within the assessment process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify regular assessment appointments to meet service requirements
  • Deliver assessments to determine the most appropriate evidence based clinical pathway for the client
  • Refer unsuitable clients on to relevant services or back to the referral agent as necessary
  • Refer to the Regional Trauma Network as necessary
  • Use easily understood language which is sensitive to individual needs to gather information and explain next steps
  • Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment clients in line with the boundaries of the service / contracts
  • Adhere to an agreed activity contact relating to the number of assessments offered and carried out per week to ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient to individual needs
  • Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the process
  • Keep and submit coherent records of the assessment and the recommendations made in line with service requirements
  • Carry out clinical audits of service performance as required, including service user surveys and evaluations, and help to collate and disseminate the results for feedback
  • Liaise with other stakeholders from a range of agencies in the care provided to individuals utilising RFJ services
  • Participate in RFJ Clinical Governance Meetings when required

Due to the sensitivity surrounding the work carried out within Relatives for Justice, complete confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach should be taken at all times.

 

Review

 A list of approved and procured clinical supervisors will be selected with a contract of service expiration date of 31st March 2027. 

 

Selection Criteria:

•     Honours degree in Psychology.

•     Professional post-graduate Doctoral qualification in Psychology recognized by the British Psychological Society (BPS), or BPS statement of equivalence.

•     Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

•     Receipt of CV and cover letter. 

 

Award Criteria

  • Cost per hour. (50)
  • Significant experience as a qualified practitioner psychologist working with a diverse range of complex clinical conditions requiring highly specialist assessment and intervention. (10)
  • Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for client’s psychological care and treatment. (10)
  • Significant experience of supervising qualified practitioner psychologists and other staff delivering psychological therapies. (10)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS and HCPC. 910)
  • Able to offer remote and in-person sessions from Belfast or Dungannon or South Derry. (10)

 

Quantitative Assessment

The following formula will be used to evaluate price/cost.

  1. Lowest price tendered will be awarded the maximum score available (50)
  2. To calculate the score for the remaining tendered price/s, the following formula will be applied.  The lowest tendered price divided by the tenderers price (to the nearest £1) multiplied by 50.

          . Supervising qualified practitioner psychologists and other staff delivering psychological therapies.
