Free Scholarships to train in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

The first scholarship is for those who may not have a degree but who wish passionately to begin to train as a therapist on the centre’s Certificate course – 13 Saturdays from September to December. This opportunity is also open to counsellors who have lots of empathy and who wish to help others, including on a pro bono basis, in order to help them develop their skills and obtain an insight into CBT.

The second scholarship is to help a Psychology graduate, who has experience in volunteering, enter a lucrative and very enjoyable career as a professional therapist. The scholarship is for the first year of the BACP accredited post-graduate diploma in CBT – a two year part time course. It has been running for over 20 years and is the only BACP accredited therapist training in Ireland. 

Having worked with charity and community organisations for over 20 years, we at BCTC know how invaluable their volunteers, listeners and carers are, hence why we would like to help them increase their knowledge and gain a qualification relevant to the priceless work they do.

Additionally, you may wish to attend one of our open evenings, at which the Chartered Psychologist will give a talk on how to become a professional therapist. You will also have the opportunity to speak with both past and present trainees about their experience of the courses we offer - and you can ask them lots of questions!
