Magharee House is a Victorian house that was renovated in 2015, with accessibility to ground and first floor via staircase or lift, an equipped kitchen, small car park and garden. ABC Community Network’s building is a neutral, welcoming facility that accommodates organisations providing services to the community.
The Ground Floor Office is approximately 5m x 5m and accommodates a maximum of 3 people. Desks, chairs, filing cabinets, Wi-Fi and Ethernet are included.
ABC offers Reception duties that welcomes visitors into the building and ensures security is maintained. Cleaning and room maintenance will be carried out by ABC. Any equipment brought into the building by the Rentee is the responsibility of the Rentee. Security, Fire Safety and Electrical Safety for the building is provided by ABC. While ABC provides building insurance, Rentees are responsible for their own office contents insurance.
Other facilities at ABC include: a Conference Room that can be used for meetings and activities for up to 10 people plus a tutor if tables are required, or up to 25 in a cinema style; an Arts Room that can be used for activities for about 20 people depending on the accommodation needs. There is a charge for hiring these rooms.
The building has wheelchair accessibility and a lift.
Venue Facilities
A small car park is available. Public car park facilities are also a short distance away.
Print/Photocopy/Scan facilities are available as part of the Rentees’ contract up to a maximum of 1000 copies per quarter, after which a small charge will be made. Rentees can provide their own printers if they wish. There is no access to the building’s landline so Rentees must supply their own mobile phones.
Policies and Health & Safety
ABC Community Network facilties are equipped with hand sanitiser stations throughout the building. There is a limit at present on the number of participants on courses or activities and this applies to all who hire the facilties. Masks are required to be worn when visiting the building and 2m social distancing is in effect.
