Volunteers rate VOYPIC 100 out of 10!

VOYPIC (Voice of Young People in Care) is delighted to announce the brilliant news that we have been re-awarded Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard.

This quality mark confirms the excellent work VOYPIC does with the help of generous and committed volunteers.  One volunteer summed up the value of their work with VOYPIC by rating the experience “100 out of 10!”

Vivian McConvey, VOYPIC CEO, responded by saying “We are thrilled to be one of only five organisations in Northern Ireland to achieve this award for the second time in a row.  We cannot thank our volunteers enough for the real difference they make to the lives of children and young people in care.”

VOYPIC volunteers have a rich mix of skills, experience and ability all of which contributes to the amazing work they do with children and young people who are cared for away from home.   Volunteer mentors play a fun and positive role in the lives of young people and we know that the experience also brings great benefits to volunteers.

Wendy Osborne, Volunteer Now CEO, presented the award to VOYPIC saying “Volunteer Now is delighted to announce VOYPIC‘s successful achievement of this Award, they have demonstrated a real commitment to volunteering, proven that their volunteer management policies and procedures meet nationally recognised standards.”

If you like the sound of volunteering with VOYPIC, we’ll be recruiting for volunteers in January 2013.  Details will be in the local press and on our website at www.voypic.org
