Social Enterprise NI (SENI) is delighted to announce that local Radio/TV/Video/Webinar Presenter, and businesswoman Cate Conway has agreed to join an Ambassador panel with immediate effect.

Social Enterprise NI (SENI) is delighted to announce that local Radio/TV/Video/Webinar Presenter, and businesswoman Cate Conway has agreed to join an Ambassador panel with immediate effect and work with the organisation to promote and raise awareness of the social enterprise sector to a wider audience in NI.

Cate joins Aimee Clint of Books by Stellas, who was appointed a Young Ambassador in June 2019 and has been highly successful in raising awareness and promoting the sector amongst young entrepreneurs, and in particular with local universities and regional colleges.

SENI would like to express its sincere thanks to Cate for agreeing to take up this role and looks forward to working with her in the months and years ahead to profile events and help to raise awareness of the work of its members.

SENI Director Colin Jess said “We are delighted that Cate has agreed to join us and take on this role.  Cate compered our Christmas Festive online event and more recently the Annual Conference held in February 2021.  Her interest in the work of our members in how she prepared for these events was clear for all to see and led us to ask her to come on board.  Cate and Aimee will provide the staff team with amazing support and we look forward to working with them both to promote the social enterprise sector going forward. Cate is passionate about the work of our members and will help to profile our campaigns, attend events and will be instrumental in raising awareness of our work, and the wider business model as SENI approaches its 10th anniversary in 2022.”

Cate Conway added “I’m really delighted to be asked to be an Ambassador for Social Enterprise NI. As part of my job in radio I’ve visited many social enterprises and was struck by the energy and passion of the people behind the brands. They do business with a different purpose and mindset. They are the life force of their communities and connect with their customers, clients, and users in a unique way. They make them feel part of their story and part of how their spend is used. I’m looking forward to spreading the word about how vital these businesses are!”

Cates appointment reflects the direction of travel of SENI, who are seeking to profile the organisation to young people and to make it attractive for not only employment but also in terms of increasing awareness of the organisation and business model.
