The second Northern Ireland Climate Change Adaptation Programme 2019 – 2024 (NICCAP) has been published and can be viewed on the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) website here.

The NICCAP sets out the NI Government's adaptation approach to addressing the climate change risks and opportunities as identified in the UK CCRA 2017 Evidence Report Summary for NI. For the first time, the NICCAP also includes a chapter outlining how civil society (academic, private, voluntary and community sectors) and local government will contribute to addressing these climate change risks and opportunities.

Climate NI has prepared the Civil Society and Local Government Adapts Supporting Document highlighting the adaptation actions undertaken by Civil Society and Local Government.
