Inspirational Speaker Series: Impact of Brexit on Migrant Communities - Online/Zoom

In this episode of our Inspirational Speaker Series, Bernadette McAliskey will provide us with insights into the impact the hostile environment of Brexit has on the daily lives of immigrant workers, refugees and asylum seekers, and their families

In this 8th Inspirational speaker event  we will discuss how Brexit is eroding the most basic human rights, not exclusively but predominantly, of people of colour who are often fleeing the consequences of the actions of Western governments, including the UK government. This webinar will help raise consciousness of how the independent advice and other sectors can be witness to the government roll back on international commitments to protect rights and fundamental freedoms.

Bernadette McAliskey is an Irish civil rights leader and human rights defender, elected at the age of 21 as MP for Mid-Ulster in 1969.
