A diagram listing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals

Did you know government is now measuring its activities against the UN Sustainable Development Goals? Are you?

If so, or if you’d just like to know more, we’d love to hear from you. NICVA placement student Emma Bramble (QUB) is undertaking an eight week project to find out how aware of the Sustainable Development Goals the voluntary & community sector in NI is.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call for action on ending poverty, protecting our planet and ensuring all people can enjoy peace and prosperity. The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs have recently carried out a mapping exercise to highlight how the Programme for Government Outcomes Delivery Plan 2018/19 aligns with the SDGs.

We have sent out a survey to NICVA members to gauge awareness of the SDGs and would be grateful for your response to the survey by Tuesday, 19 February 2019.
