The Consumer Council obtains assurances for Budget Energy customers

The Consumer Council is shedding some light into what the acquisition means for consumers.

Paulino Garcia, Head of Energy Policy at The Consumer Council, said: “The Consumer Council has spoken to representatives from Budget Energy and Flogas on behalf of consumers. The companies confirmed that they will not be changing the terms and conditions of existing contracts in the near future, including the prices that customers are paying.

“The Consumer Council welcomes the assurances that Flogas and Budget Energy have given to ensure the rights of existing customers remain unchanged. We will work with both companies over the coming weeks to ensure the interests of their customers are represented throughout this process.
