Consumer Council Car Insurance Survey – What’s your cover story?
The Consumer Council is today launching a survey to discover how much, on average, people in Northern Ireland (NI) are paying for their car insurance.
This is in advance of the Competition and Markets Authority report on their investigation into the private motor insurance market in the UK and NI, due to be published on the 28 September.
Speaking about the survey Eimear Duffy, Policy Officer for Money Affairs at the Consumer Council said: “We continue to monitor the car insurance market and consumers’ views on the cost of their car insurance in NI. We are keen to gather as much information as possible, given that NI was recently quoted as the second most expensive region in the UK for car insurance premiums.
“We are calling on all drivers to complete the survey; it takes just one minute. This snapshot survey will help to shape the Consumer Council’s ongoing work following the completion of the Competition and Markets Authority investigation.”
The survey will close on Friday 19 September. To complete the survey please visit www.consumercouncil.org.uk and click on the link ‘Car Insurance Survey’. Alternatively, the survey can be completed by telephoning freephone 0800 121 6022.
