Celebrating Volunteering with Volunteers' Week, 1-7 June

Volunteers' Week is now in its 29th year. Volunteer Now is carrying out a survey to count the number of volunteers in NI, and has invited MLAs to show their support for volunteering.

Volunteers Count

As part of the celebrations for Volunteers’ Week, Volunteer Now wants to count the number of volunteers active across Northern Ireland. This will help to build recognition for the important role volunteers play in our community.

The survey will only take a couple of minutes and you can enter a free prize draw. To complete the survey click on the link below.

MLAs show their support

Volunteers' Week 1-7 June, the annual celebration of volunteering, gives all kinds of organisations that involve volunteers the chance to raise the profile of their work and the people who help make a positive impact in their communities.

Volunteer Now has invited all of our MLAs to send a message of support, encouragement and thanks to the volunteers in their constituency to mark the Week. You can see who has left a message at this page. If you're an MLA reading, there's a link for you to click and add your own appreciative comments, too.

How can you show your support?

If you can spare a little time, have a think about how you might volunteer - there are lots of suggestions on the Volunteer Now website and you will find all the information you need consider, as well as be able to search for volunteering opportunities. Don't forget to check on CommunityNI too, to see who has a volunteering opportunity available. And if you're think about volunteering, you can commit to Give More by making a pledge there.
